This set is fresh from a local estate and was COVERED in icky dust which seemed to protect it very well. There is very little gold loss. There are NO CHIPS! There is a hairline in the sugar bowl but the integrity is still good..nice and solid. The cups are the most delicate porcelain and are quite small..demitasse size. The Chocolate pot measures approx 9" tall Set included Chocolate Pot Sugar Creamer 8 Cups and Saucers This is a very hard pattern by this maker to find and to have this wonderful set would be a pure delight! A couple tidbits about the maker! The Carl Schumann factory operated in Arzburg, Germany (Bavaria) from 1881-1996. Schumann china was famous for its striking resemblance, in both quality and style, to the revered Dresden dinnerware. Employing the same "Rococo revival" decorating techniques as these more prominent manufactures, Schumann china is known for its colorful fruit and flower patterns, set upon a translucent, eggshell white porcelain.
