Some of the sculptures as large as 20" high and containing many many colorful figures..I will be listing the entire collection..These glass masterpieces I was told were from the 1980s and 1990s..Some still retaining their price tags of $8500.00 on the smallest and up in price..In checking artists website some similar sized sculptures fetch up to 15 thousand dollars but are not as colorful or as nice as my examples are.Lucio Bubacco's sensuous works combine the anatomic perfection of Greek sculpture with the Byzantine gothic architecture of his native Venice. Seductive themes, metamorphosis and transformation, forms emerging from the void, echo themes from our mythological past when sexuality was spiritual, not political. .So if you want the absolute best in Italian glass sculptures please view my other listings..The sculpture up for bid in this auction is a double candle holder with top vase and round pedestal which carries artists signature and a human torso in its center with very colorful design work throughout..It is in perfect condition and measures approx 18.25" high by 18.5" wide and each of the sculptures are signed on the base by Bubbaco.
