Description
jersstep Store BEAUTIFUL FRENCH LIMOGES HAND PAINTED DECORATEDCABINET PLATE PANSY MOTIF BY THE FAMOUS PICKARD COMPANY - SIGNED ca LATE 1800s! DESCRIPTION: Being offered for sale is this very beautiful Pickard hand painted cabinet plate that measures 8 7/8". Skillfully hand painted Pansy in every cheerful color possible. Besides being in mint condition with no chips, cracks, breaks, chips or other damage, it is also signed by the artist that painted. I believe that is very unusual for a Pickard decorated piece. The artist's name is E. Gibson which is found on the front top. The plate is marked with the round Pickard brown mark and a Limoges France green mark that I was unable to identify. The plate was made by a Limoges France Company and the blank was bought by the Pickard Company with one of their artist hand painting the beautiful chosen motif. Pickard is famous for their outstanding quality and was sold only in high end stores and jewelry shops. The breath taking décor of this cabinet plate was beautifully executed. If you collect cabinet plates or if you are a lover of Pansies this plate is for you! Especially if you like original antique plates that are very unique and hard to find! The quality is easily identified by not only the makers and decorating Company names and markings, but the quality of the plate itself with such fine detailing as seen throughout. Please check out the pictures and see for your self just how beautiful, detailed, and desirable this gorgeous antique cabinet plate really is. While viewing the photos, please keep in mind its mint condition, it famous quality in manufacturing and in its décor as well as its appeal. As a suggestion, this would be a super treat for your self or perhaps a marvelous gift for someone special.GENERAL: Please check out my store; Jerry's Antique Attic for some highest quality, hard to find, and other unique antique/collectable items!
