Teague on a 40 plus year old wheel that was made by his father James G. Teague. The clay used is of white china clay. These glasses were green fired in an electric kiln and cooled for a couple of days. At this point they were hand painted in underglazes by Ryan McKay, which he had initialed on front bottom R.M. 97 Archie then signed in script “A Teague Seagrove NC” on the bottom of each. They were then dipped in overglaze and fired a final time. This entire process took place at Archie and Yvonne’s (his wife) shop located at 2132 NC Hwy. 705 in Seagrove. These glasses, dated 97, are among a small group of the last Christmas pieces produce by Archie before he passed away. These have never been used. No signs of chips repairs or cracks. The painting on front is 3 flaming candlesticks.   Size is 5 7/16” Tall Thick mouth-Outer mouth 3 15/16” Inner mouth 3 ½” Bottom 2 15/16” Wide ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * Please note that the color is not exact due to lighting. They are of a slight off white in color and the candles are a little darker.
