Enormous Lot Antique China W H Grindley England Sefton Start Price USD 800.00 Current Price USD 800.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, November 13, 2008 End Time Saturday, December 13, 2008 Location Denver, CO See more about 'Enormous Lot Antique China W H Grindley England Sefton' Description Enormous lot of beautiful discontinued antique china made by W H Grindley & Co.  Pattern is Sefton by Grindley (Grisef).  Light blue border with white flowers.   Back of pieces are marked with England W H Grindley & Co with a green wreath around it.  China has been in storage for a long time and has only minor wear unless otherwise noted.  Lot includes: 1 oblong platter 12 inches across and 8.75 inches wide.  Will hold some liquid.  Marked 93 in red on bottom. 2 oblong vegetable serving bowls.  9 inches across.  One has a red stamp on the bottom, looks like a 10, other red stamped 63. 2 round vegetable serving bowls.  9 inches in diameter.  Red stamp on bottom 38, crazing and red stamp on bottom 98. 1 round serving bowl.  Almost 9.5 inches in diameter.  Red stamp 99 on bottom and crazing. 2 gravy boats.  7.5 inches long.  Marked Athens Shape in green on bottom.  Registered #692647.  Red stamp not readable on one, red stamped 11 on other. 1 cream and sugar set.  Cream pitcher about 5 inches tall and 5 inches wide.  Sugar bowl and lid measure 6.5 inches wide and almost 5 inches tall.  Creamer markings unreadable.  Sugar bowl marked 120 in red, one chip in bottom ring. 1 round covered casserole dish and lid.  Measures 10 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall.  Lid has red number 20 on inside.  Handle has been reglued at some point.  Bottom of dish marked 46 in red. Small pitcher.  7 inches tall, 6 inches in diameter.  Marked 86 in red on bottom. Large pitcher.  8.5 inches tall, 6.5 inches in diameter.  Marked 29 in red on bottom.  13 cups 4.5 inches in diameter, 2 inches tall.  Not marked with Grindley wreath but definitely go with sets.  Cups marked with following numbers: 121, 1 (hard to read), 64, 22, 63, 43, 85, 55, 34, 37, 95, 50 and 77.  2 cups have chipped rim one has crazing. 17 saucer ringed plates.  5.75 inches in diameter.  Marked in red (some unreadable, some blank) 91, 11, 37 with some crazing, 95, 30, 1, 18, 60, 15 with some crazing, 14 with some crazing, 55 with some crazing, 47 stamped into the china, 19, 55 marked Sefton, 18 with crazing. 12 dinner plates.  10 inches in diameter.  Marked in red 92 with some crazing, 56, 74, 68 or 89, 99 or 66, 18 or 81, 16 or 91, 6 or 9, 92, unreadable with crazing, 91 with crazing and 56. 12 salad plates.  8 inches in diameter.  Marked in red 55, 86 with crazing, unreadable with crazing, unreadable minor crazing, 54, 44, 57 with different WH Grindley mark brand outside of wreath, 52, unreadable with crazing and chip in rim, 27 smudged, 191 small chip on rear does not affect appearance and 52. 4 dessert pie plates.  7 inches in diameter.  Marked in red 34, 108 with some crazing, unreadable and 89 stamped in china.  5 luncheon plates.  9 inches in diameter.  Marked Sefton in red, numbered 29, 51 chip in underside of rim, 8, 29 large chip front of plate rim, and 94 2 chips on front of plate rim.  6 soup bowls.  7.75 inches in diameter.  Marked in red, unreadable with crazing, 73 with crazing, unreadable with chip on back of bowl does not affect appearance, 56 with crazing, 16 with crazing and 44.
