This is an exceptional set of six - 5 pc. place settings of the vintage Salem China Company dishes from the 1940's. Each setting contains one each of: 9 7/8" dinner plate 8" salad plate 6 1/2" bread/butter plate 2 7/8" cup and 5 1/2"saucer combo ( So one cup and one saucer per setting)The pattern is English Village Olde Staffordshire (Blue) and is the blue transer ware stoneware manufactured in England. These feature a lovely blue village scene with flower rims.   All piece bottoms are stamped as pictured except the cups which have impression mark Alfred Meaken England.I am selling the 6 place settings for a mere $300 which is far less than pieces listed on the internet and you get the 32 complete pieces all at once.   In the 32 pieces, I only find one flaw on a dinner plate which is a small 1/2' under edge graze chip.Also included in this auction set is a matching 8" serving bowl and matching 12" oval platter. HOLIDAY SPECIAL til end of this auction: I do have a 7 additional assorted matching pieces that I will include with the place settings AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE and will have them available at pickup/delivery.  I was offering these separately but am in the "Spirit of the Holidays"!  These additional pieces are: (2) 9 1/2" dinner plates (with one small nicely done chip repair and one with a few edge graze chips), (2) 5" dessert bowls, (2) cups, and 1 (5 1/2" saucer).  so that is another 7 pieces for backup at no charge.  Happy Holidays!!
