He is considered a master potter and is associated with Kenneth Quick, Bernard Leach and Colin Pearson.Talking about his work he described it as "a combination of the Bauhaus and Japan". His work reflects a deep interest in functional pottery and this can be seen in the piece being offered. The pitcher has a speckled gray and mustard glaze and is impressed with his mark. The height is 7 1/4" and the width from handle to spout is 6 1/2". Condition is excellent with no problems and wear from age on the base.
