Description
Edward Walley produced this white ironstone (decorated with pink lustre) cup and plate marked with his name sometime between 1845 and 1856 during the period when upper middle class tableware styles were shifting from densely decorated flow transfer printed ironstone to plain white and blue tinted white ironstones. The plate measures 9.5" in diameter and is in very good condition with no cracks or chips and it carries the E. Walley - impressed mark with the pattern name: Niagara Shape. The tally marks for the pink lustre are over the glaze. The handless cup has some roughness along the top rim but no visible chips or cracks...beautiful shape! It measures approx. 3 1/8" tall with a diameter of about 3 5/8". Amazing find. Terms:Buyer pays shipping handling cost in addition to bid. Payment is due by PAYPAL or Money Order within 10 days of successful bid (personal checks OK only if Buyer has NO negative feedback). MONEY BACK Guarantee if not satisfied. Refund assumes item is returned to seller within 14 days in same condition. Buyer pays return shipping and handling fees. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
