Our Skype name is - orvillefour.   Ref:  58780 This interesting figural jug was made by one of the famous Delft pottery manufacturers, from Holland. The jug was made in the 19th Century. It is formed as a rotund gentleman, in a seated pose, wearing historical costume, with a rear applied handle. The jug is decorated with elaborate floral motifs and pattening. It is hand painted and is finished in a traditional Delft tin glaze. Marks & Backstamps The jug is marked to the base with the hand painted 'Delft' backstamp, please refer to the photograph below. Condition & Size The jug has been detached in several places to the hat, and readhered, and there is some age wear, including minor glaze rubbing, nibbling and crazing here and there. Otherwise, it is in very good condition.
