Century, prohibition closed Dutch breweries.  Many of them vacated buildings were used by the fledgling, but growing delftware industry.  The development of the tin-glazing techniques evolved slowly through many countries from the Orient to Italy.  It was perfected by artisans.  The handpainted delftware sold is made in Holland by the DeWitt Company.  All authentic DeWit delft products are of true Dutch origin and exquisitely handpainted.  They are identified by an imprint showing the factory mark, item number, and artist's initials.  You are bidding on a Delft Blue Handpainted Bell with Wooden Handle.  It has a beautiful scene with a windmill, barn by a river with flower accents. It does not have the chime on the inside to make sound..On the inside is HANDPAINTED DELFTWARE HANDWORK DESIGNED BY ELESVA AMSTERDAM WITH THE #834...It is 10" around and 8" tall...No Chips or Cracks...Questions are Welcome...Customer Satisfaction is our Goal!!!
