He taught at the University of Illinois.From 1964-1970 he was the resident director of the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena Montana.He is best known for his wonderfull functional stoneware and porcelain.David exhibited at Craftsman USA, New York,Wichita Biennial, Kansas, Yellowstone arts center, Billings Montana,Kansa City Art Institute, Missouri, Joanna Rap Gallery, Scottsdale AZ.Archie Bray, Holter Museum of Art, Helena Montana,as well as many group exhibitions and worldwide exhibitions.Exhibited at the nationals in 1960,1962,1964,1966,and 1968.
