Description
Carnival Glass Collection~41 Pieces-37 Patterns!! Entire Carnival Glass Collection in one Offering! 41 Pieces - 37 Different Patterns This is such a good deal that I've decided to relist it once more revising the listing to include more information. It seems I made some errors in the previous listing such as there are 41 pieces, not 40 and there are 37 patterns not 34. Anyway, I think I've got it all staightened out now. Now, I like a bargain as much as the next person. That's why I've set the price at a realistic open with no reserve. Please!!! No emails asking me to sell pieces individually. So with that being said............ I'll offer it one last time. Heads up carnival glass collectors and investors! It pains me to part with it but my husband's lay-off from one of the top auto makers pretty much has us over a barrel. With that being said, I'm offering my personal collection of "old" carnival glass to one lucky bidder at a very reasonable open with no reserve. I haven't the time nor the patience to list each piece individually nor do I want the expense (listing fees) of listing them separately so I thought this would be the best route to go. I've been collecting for a number of years now and have accumulated some very nice pieces. My preference has always been for the "old" carnival therefore, the majority of my collection consist of unmarked pieces primarily produced by the Dugan, Northwood and Fenton glass companies and a few pieces from the Imperial Glass Company. It would take literally pages to describe each and every piece in this collection. If you would like information on a particular piece please email me and I will provide as much detail as I have available to me. There are bowls, nappies, vases, hats, pitchers, compotes and plates. At the center of this fabulous collection is my prized rare Electric Amethyst Peacocks on the Fence plate! As I stated above, I have started the auction at a reasonable open in order to avoid placing a reserve (I hate those). I have a substantial financial investment and love for this old glass and it's difficult to let it go. So please, serious bidders only. Do not bid if you do not intend to follow through on your commitment. A brief summary of the collection is as follows: DUGAN: Leaf Rays (White, nappy)Leaf Rays (Marigold on Moonstone, nappy)Fish Scale & Beads (peach opalescent, bowl)Petal and Fan (peach opalescent, bowl)Ski Star (large bowl & gorgeous)Ski Star (banana bowl and gorgeous)Rain Drops (bowl 3 in 1 edge, scarce pattern, very nice)Caroline (another scarce pattern, also very nice, 3 in 1 edge)Rain drops (nut bowl, straight up ruffled edge, never seen another like it, some slight loss of iridescence to the center of the bowl; probably from use)Vining Twigs (hat, < 4" whimsy, very nice, pastel peach opalescent)Apple Blossoms (ruffled bowl, peach opalescent)Lined Lattice (vase, 9.5”, one very tiny sliver chip on one of the points on the base, otherwise gorgeous with electric iridescence!!)Garden Path (Marigold, very large deep bowl)Grape and Floral Pitcher (Superb electric amethyst with black amethyst applied handle)Cosmos Variant-Marigold over Vaseline (try finding this one listed somewhere!!) (Very large, glows under black light).Stork and Rushes (Marigold, tumbler) Northwood:Tree Trunk (vase, 10 ¼”, Electric Amethyst)Springtime (Marigold, berry bowl)Star of David and Bows (heavily iridized, amethyst, very nice!)To Die 4 ....Peacocks on the Fence (Rare, Electric Amethyst)Northwood’s #:631 11 3/4” Jade Blue Stretch Plate with 28 Optic RaysNorthwood’s #:655 Footed Compote in Blue with Rolled edge Fenton: Knotted Beads (Clambroth, vase, 9“)Smooth Rays (tri corner bowl, Alaskan finish)Orange Tree Fruit Bowl (rare daisy band center, pumpkin, superb!)Fine Rib (marigold, vase, 9 ½“)Dragon and Lotus (Lavender, 8 ¾“, collar base, stands under 2“, kind of thinking this one might be a plate. Too shallow for bowl)Two Flowers (Marigold, large ball footed)Persian Medallion (Amethyst plate, Fenton mark in oval)Coin Dot (Stippled dots, Fenton, not Westmoreland)Rib Optic tumbler in Celeste Blue Stretch with Royal Blue handle (gorgeous!)Holly (hat, cobalt blue with silver/steel gray iridescence) Imperial: Star Medallion (Marigold, bowl)Beaded Bulls Eye (Marigold, vase, 11“)Poinsettia (Marigold, milk pitcher)Curled rib (Marigold, vase, 8 ¼“)Star and File (Marigold, bowl)Hobstar and Tassle (Marigold, gorgeous pattern)Scroll Embossed (Electric green compote)Scroll Embossed (Marigold bowl with the file pattern on the exterior)Wide Panel (Clambroth, 11” plate) For obvious reasons, shipping costs will be determined at the conclusion of the auction. 41 pieces of glass cannot and will not be shipped in one box. I will do everything I can to minimize shipping expenses so long as it doesn't compromise getting the collection to you safely and without risk of damage. If that means 4 boxes then that's what it will have to be. I think I'll be able to do it with 3 but I'll know more once it's all packed. My preferred method of payment is Certified Cashier's Check or U.S. Postal Money Order. Personal check is my last choice and will delay shipping until check clears usually 7 -10 days. I will consider shipping to our Canadian or UK friends but no other international buyers please. Sorry. Any flaws to the glass are those that are inherently characteristic of early carnival glass such as straw marks, air bubbles and what some call tiny flea bites. Simply put, it's an outstanding collection and one I've been quite proud of. Photos of specific pieces can be provided upon request. Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to email me with any questions. Good luck! Please read my policies in their entirety. If you win one of my auctions, you must contact me within 24 hours to let me know your method of payment. Checks or money orders should be RECEIVED WITHIN 7 DAYS. This does not mean you wait 7 days and then mail it. Also, I reserve the right to cancel a bid from anyone with excessive or frivolous negative feedback. International winners MUST pay with U.S. Postal Money Orders Only. Sorry. Special arrangements will be made in light of the nature of this auction. I will work with you to minimize the cost of shipping to the best of my ability without compromising the ability to get it to you without damage. UPS is the most likely carrier for shipment. I require Insurance on all glass items at the rate of $1.65 per $50.00 dollars of the purchase price (not included) and as stated above, UPS will most likely be the carrier for shipment unless you have special preferences. If so, please let me know in advance. Our Canadian and UK friends will need to contact me for shipping quotes. I make every effort to describe my listings as honestly and as accurately as I possibly can. Please address any concerns or issues you might have prior to placing a bid as I do not offer refunds. Anyone with <10 feedback must contact me before placing a bid. Failure to do so could result in a bid cancellation. Thanks for stopping by and good luck! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...... In the event you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact me before leaving a negative feedback. My aim is to make you happy with your purchase, and I will go to great lengths to reach an amicable resolution. I leave feedback immediately upon receiving it. Anyone can contact me through "my messages" at any time. I usually respond immediately upon receipt of a message. My regular email address will be provided upon request.
