The cups carry the Burleigh pattern mark and number under glaze and the saucers carry the printed globe mark with "Middleport Pottery" which was introduced in 1912 but does not carry the "Ltd." which was added in 1919 - so these were made sometime between 1912 & 1919. The design is in flow blue with flowers, swags and scrolls and added flowers on the inside rim on one side. The cups measure approx. 3 7/8" in diameter and stand about 2.25" tall. One cup is in excellent condition and one has a tight hairline crack (See Photo) but no other damage other than crazing, minor wear which one would expect in pieces with this age. The saucers measure approx. 6" in diameter and stand about 1 1/8" tall. They are in very good condition with each having one very small chip, minor wear on the gold trim and crazing appropriate to the age. Both the cups and the saucers have scalloped edges w/gold trim.
