McCoy Pottery Company after losing everything to a fire in 1909. In 1911 The J.W. McCoy Pottery Company changed its name to the "Brush-McCoy Pottery Company" and the McCoy name and interest in the new company continued until J.W. McCoy's death when the name was again changed to "Brush Pottery Co.". Brush McCoy introduced the " Nurock" line in 1916 as a quality utility ware in a yellow and brown glaze, similar to Old English Rockingham (Some refer to this as yelloware spatter glaze). This is a wonderful and substantial vintage Brush McCoy Nurock yellowware tankard pitcher in the peacock design measuring approx. 8.25" tall and 8.5" handle to spout. This piece is in very good condition with no cracks but there is crazing over the entire piece consistent with pottery of this era. There are two chips on the top rim and threel small spots where the glaze has flaked (See Photo). This is overall an amazing piece!
