Description
This is an absolutely beautiful; intricately designed vase with different kinds of foliage. It is not lacquer. It is of a ceramic or pottery matter. Some of the foliage has specks within the gold guild and others are just gold; while others are of a greenish bluish hue or greenish hue on others. The lighting from the foliage is breathtaking. Look at the pictures; see for yourself. Of course, the pictures do not do justice to this unique vase. The background is a crimson color and there are four flutes with panels. It is marked on the bottom "Maruni Patent Made in Occupied Japan". There is some paint wear on eight of the same design leaves but can be remedied by a professional. There are some chips at the bottom and paint chipping in the inside of this vase as you can see from the pictures but there are some glares from the camara shot. There is also a small chip on the inside of wide rim. The vase is approximately 12 1/2 inches high, 15 inches around the bottom, 17 inches around the middle, and 26 1/2 inches at the top; and approximately 8 1/2 inches across at the top. I believe this vase is in great condition considering its' age. When shown it is beautiful and commanding. Ask questions before bidding on this gorgeous and unique vase.
