When I first saw it, I was sure that it was a piece by Arthur van Briggle. Same great colors. Unique shape. Japanese art at turn of the century up to 1930's was very influenced by Art  Nouveau and Arts and Crafts, just as those styles were influenced by the Japanese woodcuts, pottery, and silver. If you know the maker, please let me know. What is either a firing mistake or a small repair to the glaze at the bottom, doesn't detract from the value. A must for collectors of Arts and Crafts pottery. Insurance required.
