mylittlegrasshopper Store ANTIQUE ROYAL VIENNA PORTRAIT JARDINIERE or BOWL~ ROSES Description:Here is an exquisite Jardiniere on separate base, is an estate item. The condition is excellent, no chips, cracks, scratches, known repairs, or flaws. The gold is solid, and really in good condition. The colors are rich and elegant, with beautifully painted roses around a beautiful portrait framed in a gold cartouche. There is slight rubbing marks at the very bottom edge of the bowl where it rests in the base (see close up photo), not visible when it is resting in the base. There is a little play when bowl is resting in the base, not an absolutely tight fit. But it appears to be the original base, it has the same markings, and colors. It is artist signed on the bottom of the base (see photo). The blue "beehive" mark is under the glaze. There is also a gold flower or rose mark which should tell you that know about the maker. If you care to share any information with me I would appreciate that! This piece has been handed down in the family of a local doctor's estate, and just as described to me by the daughter "Mom said we were NEVER to touch this piece, and I am so afraid of it that I don't even want to pack it, let alone keep it".. just thought that was kind of cute! So it is that we are offering it to someone else to treasure!This piece will be professionally packed and shipped and insured by our local UPS Store unless the buyer cares to pick up or another method of packing and shipping.
