Description A VERY LARGE SUPERB George Owen vase. MINT CONDITION, with no chips, cracks or restorations. Also, of EXTREMELY RARE SHAPE. I think Owen was experimenting with the designs/ types of his pearcing on this early vase, as there are 3 panels of all different types. I think he would have been quite young when he made this, as it is late 19th century, and before the later marked Royal Worcester pieces. Size:- A full 8ins high. Fully signed / incised to the underside of base with G.Owen, and old collection label for the famous Zorensky collection p.59. I did not even know that Zorensky collected Owen, and thought him only 18th century. This is clearly an IMPORTANT PIECE OF THE EARLIEST OWEN, and there will definately not be another like it out there. It is COMPLETELY UNIQUE, and has to be a must for the serious collector. I offer this at very low starting price/reserve for such a large piece of Owen. Enough to cover my investment, and I am confident the collectors and dealers out this will not miss this, and set their own price.
