Description
IMPORTANT NOTE, PLEASE READ: The shipping cost quoted on this listing is an ESTIMATE ONLY. PLEASE DON'T PAY until you receive my eBay invoice! I don't pack my sets until they're sold so I can't give you the exact postage cost until I see how many boxes it takes to ship the set safely, the weight of each box and where you live. I don't charge anything for packing, handling or materials! You will pay EXACTLY what the Post Office charges me.HI! Today I'm Listing a Wonderful Tirschenreuth 82-Piece Set for Twelve (minus Two B&B Plates) of their Very Popular "#246 "Apple Blossom" Pattern. The china was made at the Tirschenreuth Porcelain Factory in Bavaria Germany. The red "Pasco" importer's mark is that of Paul A. Straub & Co., New York, NY, U.S.A. My book of marks indicates that this mark was used from about 1948-1970). A large matching service indicates that the pattern was discontinued circa 1930, but you will have to be the judge.Condition: Very lightly used - UnusedDescription: This color of the base china in this set is WHITE! But this same pattern was also available in an off-white color and had several different style cups available. The plates and bowls were available with 3-sprigs of flowers or four sprigs of flowers so if you intend to use the set with pieces left over from a relative, be sure and compare them for both color and variety before buying (though I would think one could combine the 3-sprig variety with the 4-sprig variety without any problems). Sorry, I forgot to take a photo of the coffee Pot - I will add it in a few days.Comments: I purchased the set from a wealthy estate in Black River Falls, Wisconsin many years ago. The set ranges in condition from very lightly used to unused. My photos are good so I will only give a brief description of the pattern and colors. The china is a high-gloss white with gold trim. The design features pastel pink and white flowers and pastel green leaves. Photo three shows a close-up of the floral design. As you look at the photos please note the wide array of serving pieces (which include the very expensive and hard to find large coffee Pot and Covered Casserole/Vegetable bowl. Here is a list of the pieces included in the set:Twelve Cups (2 1/4"Coupe)Twelve 5 7/8" SaucersTwelve 10" Dinner Plates (4-sprig Variety)Twelve 7 5/8" Salad Plates (4-sprig variety)Ten 6 1/8" Bread & Butter PlatesTwelve 5 1/8" Fruit/Sauce BowlsOne Creamer (2 3/8" tall, 10 oz.)One covered sugar Bowl (2 1/2" tall)Two 8 1/2" Round Vegetable BowlsOne 9 3/8" Round vegetableOne 10" Oval Vegetable BowlOne 9 5/8" Rectangular Vegetable Bowl (Rare)One Round Covered Vegetable Bowl (RARE)One 13 1/4" Oval Serving PlatterOne Large Coffee Pot W/Cover (7 3/4" tall with cover on) RAREOne Gravy Boat with attached Under-plate (oval spout)One 8 3/4" Oval Relish DishIf you're looking for an exquisite set of fine china with beautiful pastel colors and most all of the serving pieces I'm sure you will like this one.
