Description
I’ll be listing lots of pottery (stoneware & redware) as well as other things I’ve collected over the years and have enjoyed very much. I’m downsizing and it’s time for someone else to give these neat pieces a new home.   Greg  Shooner Redware 8-1/4” Fancy Quilled Plate This special, traditional quilled plate was made by Greg at Morrow, Ohio's Turtlecreek Pottery in 1991. This is the only one I’ve seen with this decoration – a striking criss cross pattern of yellow quilling, green (copper) & black (manganese). As in all Shooner pieces, you will find great workmanship and quality in this early drape-molded piece of redware.  This would be a nice addition to your collection or an easy way to start one!  Lead-based glaze, chips and aging were done intentionally by Greg to give this early Shooner piece an antique appearance.  All chips, dings & aging are original to the piece.  As in all Turtlecreek Museum Piece redware, this plate is NOT for food use. On the bottom of the plate, you will find the early Turtlecreek logo, as well as “Greg Shooner, 1991” and an etched leaping stag (deer).  US Bidders/Buyer ONLY.  Payment by Paypal only, please - and payment is required within two (2) days of purchase. Please ask all questions or request additional photos prior to bidding or buying; as, this is a final sale.  Shipping is expedited once payment is received. Free Shipping on this one – and, insurance as well as a Delivery Confirmation is included.
