I’m downsizing and it’s time for someone else to give these neat pieces a new home.   Greg  Shooner Redware 8-1/4” Fancy Quilled Plate This special, traditional quilled plate was made by Greg at Morrow, Ohio's Turtlecreek Pottery in 1991. This is the only one I’ve seen with this decoration – a striking criss cross pattern of yellow quilling, green (copper) & black (manganese). As in all Shooner pieces, you will find great workmanship and quality in this early drape-molded piece of redware.  This would be a nice addition to your collection or an easy way to start one!  Lead-based glaze, chips and aging were done intentionally by Greg to give this early Shooner piece an antique appearance.  All chips, dings & aging are original to the piece.  As in all Turtlecreek Museum Piece redware, this plate is NOT for food use.
