As glass collectors know,  Charles is the only artist ever to make this color.  In fact Frederick Carter who owned Stueben tried in circa 1915 to make "rouge flambe" flaming red but was unsuccessful.  Dated 1976, this is a very early piece of Lotton's Mandarin Red! It is a dedicated wedding piece and is signed.  It reads, "Charles Lotton 1976" and "Jerry and Terry 26 Aug 1976." It measures about 5 7/8 inches tall and is about 3 1/4 inches across at the rim.  I have inspected it carefully.  The only flaw I can see are a few tiny white specs as pictured.  They are smooth to the touch - factory?  Not worth mention but I want to be very picky on this Stunning piece. No chips, cracks or dings to the piece.  I am not a glass expert so I have provided a wide variety of pictures and uestions are welcomed and answered promptly.  I made a valiant effort to get a better shot of Lotton's signature but it is too fine for my camera to capture any better than as pictured.  Definately his signature and an authetic work.  Think Christmas!
