1950s T S & T Marsh VIOLETS Pttn 132 Serving BOWL Gold Start Price USD 5.95 Current Price USD 5.95 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, December 01, 2008 End Time Monday, December 08, 2008 Location Spartanburg, South Carolina See more about '1950s T S & T Marsh VIOLETS Pttn 132 Serving BOWL Gold' Description   From a fabulous estate at a lovely old home, this beautiful old serving bowl is marked on the base as shown below.  Produced by Taylor Smith & Taylor China company around 1952, the shape is called Conversation and was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague.  The decoration in the center is the same as their Marsh Violet pattern.   Since it has a different rim treatment (gold filigree / chintz pattern), however, I believe this piece is from a pattern called TST132.   The bowl measures 9" square and is 2 3/4" deep.  This piece is in generally excellent condition with no chips, cracks, etc.  The only thing I see to report is a line or mark on one inside side wall.  It's not a crack but I can't tell if someone who knows what they are doing can remove it or not.   It's not unsightly but can be seen (see pics below - especially the second one).  However, due to that flaw, I am starting this lovely and scarce old bowl at a very low price so you can enjoy adding it to your collection or displaying and using it by itself!! _____________________________________________________________________  READ BEFORE BIDDING!  I know its boring, but you really SHOULD since your bid is a contract and constitutes acceptance of the conditions listed below:   *** LOCAL PICK UP is always an option so feel free to contact me.  If you wish to pay through any means other than Paypal, please contact me BEFORE BIDDING!! **** I send an email, message, and/or invoice after the auction.  If you have a spam blocker that requires me to fill out a form before emailing you - YOU WILL NOT GET AN EMAIL.  You may contact me, however.  It's a good idea to wait for the invoice before paying since occasionally I over-estimate the shipping cost.
