This is an older 1950's Alaskan Eskimo Series pottery vase made by Matthew Adams. Matthew Adams was an artist who worked for Sascha Brastoff and he was commissioned to make wares for the tourist trade in Alaska. After this Alaskan Trade Series proved to be very successful, he soon left the Sascha Brastoff factories and started his own business. This vase is clearly signed on the reverse side with 'Matthew Adams' seen in script (see photo). The bottom also has a number '115 a'. No breaks, chips, cracks, or other damage found. In very nice condition overall. It measures generously at 10 1/4" in height. Excellent graphics seen with a pale green, gold, white, black, and brown colors. There is a larger mountain ram seen on the front of the Alaskan Eskimo Series Vase. Definitely older and guaranteed to be vintage and original as described. Buyer to pay shipping costs.
