Description
1936 STAFFORDSHIRENEW HALL HANLEY COASTERSOR PIN DISHESSET OF FOUR At Harod's Online our focus is on collectible European porcelains including Figurines, Dishware, and Ornamental pieces. We also carry a variety of high-quality American Porcelain Manufacturers works as well. In our inventory you will find jewelry both new as well as vintage. With merchandise from the Impressionist period up to Art Deco and the latest in Electronics we manage to cover Centuries worth of precious and desired pieces, and of course there is our personal favourites....Chocolate Pots! These Coasters or Pin Dishes as they are commonly called are a staple of English households. Between the three of us we brought over more than 20 of these pieces and are now about to start selling them as we are currently running the auction for the four Sandland Ware mugs. This is a great set four vintage Staffordshire New Hall Hanley Coasters (which is what our parents always used them for) but are often called "Pin Dishes" . We have a large collection of these coasters (all in excellent condition) and should you be looking for a specific one not listed in this auction please email us and we will gladly replace one for another. We also have the covered dish featuring "Quilp" from "The Curiosity Shop", feel free to inquire about that as well! These are now in the Antique Mall where we sell our high-end items. Typically we can retrieve purchased items within 2 to 3 days so there will be an added time to delivery. If you are interested in purchasing additional or swapped pieces from this line please send us an email, we do combined shipping! ***Due to eBay's new policy of requiring shipping charges be listed and our inability to know the actual shipping charges of our items due to location issues (some pieces are the property of our clients and some pieces are in different stores) we have decided that the best way to handle this new requirement is to come up with four separate shipping rates. We know that on some shipments we will lose money and some we will make a small profit, we can only hope that it will work out in the end. If we see that someone has paid more than $2.00 above the actual shipping expenses we will refund the difference. Rate A = Small pieces, estimated weight of 3lbsRate B = Medium pieces, estimated weight of 5lbsRate C = Large pieces, estimated weight of 7lbsRate D = Large pieces, numerous items, estimated weight of 12 lbs or more This set would be a Rate B based on 5 lbs or more as we can safely assume that the entire set will be at least 4lbs shipping charge.*** _______________________ De Olden Days Each of these are is 4" square and have a different character on each mug. We are offering the "De Olden Days", "Mr. Bumble" from Oliver Twist, and "Sairy Gamp". Unfortunately these photos do not show the actual colours of these dishes, we tried to adjust but couldn't get the true hues. If you know about these dishes you know that they feature what is called "Pub colours", creams, tans, reds, light yellows and blues. Mr. Bumble These pieces are all vintage at 74 years old but we have no outstanding flaws to mention, just the typical wear of age, some lovely crackling! Not listed in this auction are the following of the collection, "Bill Sikes" - Oliver Twist, "Quilpt" - Old Curiosity Shop, and "Mr. Pecksniff" - Martin Chuzzlewit. As stated earlier in the listing if you would like to trade any of the above four for something else in our collection we will be happy to do this. This auction is for four coasters and we will allow you to choose the coasters that you would like most. Please visit our store for numerous high-quality items which are listed with a Buy It Now price or submit best offer. We try to carry merchandise for everyone! WHENEVER POSSIBLE WE WILL LETANYONE BIDDING ON THE PIECE KNOW AHEAD OF TIME BUT IFYOU SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE BUY IT NOW AS IT COULD SELL TOMORROW! We gladly ship worldwide, we do require that you get a shipping quote from us prior to placing a bid or making payment. Usually the cost of insurance is covered by the items weight and size once packed but if additional insurance is required to cover the purchased item we insist that foreign buyers take out the insurance so items can be tracked en-route. Many people get confused with the words Vintage and Antique. Vintage means "of the period" and not necessarily a particular number of years old, for example you can have a 2007 Vintage wine. In General, the word Antique means 100 years old. Here on eBay some categories of items are considered in the listings to be antique if prior to 1940 in age. This varies in categories. In the ART category, an antique is pre 1900 while in the collectible category under clocks an antique clock is pre 1930. This same category lists vintage as 1930-1969 while vintage guitars are pre 1980 and vintage toy soldiers are pre 1970. We can go on and on but the point is there is no set and fast rule on eBay concerning dating, for they themselves vary it. We honest dealers can only give our best estimate and judgment as to the items age, condition and value. We have entered into partnership with an outstanding Australian dealer. While this piece is located in the US if purchased by any of our Australia, Japanese or New Zealand clients we do offer you the option to wait for the piece to be delivered with our bi-monthly deliveries to the Australian store, this will help keep down your shipping costs. For more information please write to us and we will be happy to explain. We can't give firm shipping quotes until an item is packaged, we can only guess. Our policy is $5.00 for the first box we have to pack and usually all merchandise can fit into one box but if there is fear of breakage or going over the size limits of the different shipping companies we may have to go to 2+ boxes and you are only charged $3.00 for the second box with consequtive boxes being free. Once a client has finished buying if they choose to take advantage of combined shipping (7 days or unlimited days for clients who have signed up to receive our newsletter) the quote we would have originally given you would be inaccurate. Domestic buyers (USA) must take out insurance on all of our breakable items, the amount is based on the purchase price but the eBay system requires a price be submitted. Your invoice will show the actual cost of insurance. If you do not take out insurance we cannot be held responsible for merchandise that is lost in the post. Foreign insurance often times is covered completely by the shipping option chosen, we have listed the insurance as optional and again the $3.00 is merely a quote. We make a great effort in providing you with photographs, measurements, and whatever detail and faults with each item as possible. We are not professsional Antique Appraisers! We ask you to contact us should you have any problems with your item but we consider it to be the responsibility of the buyer to study the numerous and expensive photographs we have taken, measurements listed and research done on each piece. If you have ANY questions or wish for additional photographs from any angle please email us and ask for them prior to bidding for all listing are sold "As Is" except for particularly unusual circumstances. We are honest sellers and treat our clients the way we would want to be treated, we believe our feedback alone should make potential buyers comfortable with our policies. We will be glad to provide you with whatever we can to make you comfortable with your purchase. We make postal insurance manditory for breakable items being sold within the country. All items are re-inspected prior to shipping to make sure that the condition has not changed since our listing, if it has we will notify the buyer of the changes and leave the option to take the piece or not up to him/her. As most oversea's shipping options come with a certain amount of insurance we make the purchase of additional insurance optional. We still recommend that on high end items you purchase insurance above and beyond that of the insurance provided by the carrier. We do not profit off insurance and consider that policy to be just wrong, insurance is for your benefit. While we make great efforts to make sure that items arrive to our customers intact things do happen, items got lost along route or buried under a pile of other boxes. Should your piece arrive to you in a damaged condition we will be there to help you file the claim.
