On the bottom it has the backward R, the P and 2 flame marks indicating it was made in 1888. It does have a two nicks around the top lip of the main body and 1 on the underside of the lid (see pics). It has a beautiful floral scene hand painted on the front. In addition to the RP mark (on the bottom) there is an incised mark that reads 282C and there also is the artist mark which I am having difficulties making out. It looks like it could be H. L. R ./ V. I will try and get a better picture of the mark up soon. It is approx.5 1/2 inches in diameter (at it's widest), 5 1/4 inches tall (to the top lip of the main body, not the ball of the lid), with the lid diameter being 2 7/8 inches. It is in very good condition.(other than the former nicks mentioned) there are no cracks or repairs. They glaze does have some light crazing but you need a magnifying glass to see them. The nicks are not the outstandish and do not detract much at all from the overall beauty of the piece.It is truly a stunning piece that will make a wonderful addition to one's collection or look beautiful on it's own.
