This is an exceptional old set of Ridgways Chintz pattern childrens dishes. It consists of 22 pieces total, all in very good condition without chips or cracks. The pieces are almost all marked with the Ridgways mark shown in the pictures, an old mark. A couple pieces are not marked. The pieces are as follows: tea pot- hexagonal shape, with lid- 3 1/4" tall.; sugar bowl, hexagonal with lid- 2 1/2" tall; creamer, hexagonal, 1 3/4" tall; larger cup or bowl, no handle 2" tall; 6 plates, 4 1/4" in diameter; 5 saucers, deep type, 2 1/2" in diameter; 5 cups, 2 1/2" in diameter, 1 5/8" tall. The design is an overall paisley pattern in black transferware, with butterflies in the pattern, as well as flowers. Hard to find in this quantity and condition. individual plates are usually priced at over $25 each- buy the set and save.
