Description
WE ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS THROUGH PAYPAL. Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Our opening bid is our reserve. Staffordshire Transferware. Beautiful early dark blue transfer plate. The pattern is called "Pastoral Scene". This was made by Edward & George Philips (1822-1834). Marked with a printed pattern and makers mark. This plate dates back to the 1820s to circa 1825. The color is deeper and darker than pictured (the flash brightened up the pic). The condition is very good to excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The plate is nice and clean. There are 2 minor areas on the outer rim where the glaze has worn off (probably due to a plate hanger). This is on the side of the plate and cannot be seen front or back. Overall a beautiful example of a very collectible pattern. Measures about 10 1/8" in diameter. BID WITH CONFIDENCE .
