It is 8 1/2 inches in diameter. It has gold trim and a flower design in the center, that is the only place where there is any wear. (This may have been done after the original firing).  The 2 dark spots you see are under the glaze. Morley seldom marked his wares, but the colorations, clay color (white) and brown marks are characteristic of his work. The clay almost looks like porcelain it is so white, but heavier like stoneware. NO chips, cracks or crazing. George Morley & Co., a firm lasting only from 1884 to 1891, produced gurgling- fish and owl pitchers, usually unmarked.The maker mark is on the back and shown.
