Current Lot Two Meissen porcelain models of Bolognese hounds late 19th/ early 20th century After a model by J.J. Kaendler, one decorated with brown markings, the other in black, both with underglaze blue crossed swords mark, incised marks 2241 and 2880. (2) NOTE: Kaendler's first models of the Bolognese hounds were produced in 1767 and were especially popular for capturing the liveliness and character of the breed. Tallest H: 8 3/4 in. PROVENANCE: From a private Washington, D.C. collector
