Description
mikeymur Store For auction, a 16" tall, 7" diameter unsigned vase that I believe to be Nippon, perhaps 19th century. However, I am not a published Nippon expert, therefore bid on appearance and condition and not provenance. The handled vase or ewer has a deep moss green base glaze and very colorful hand enameled floral decoration front and back- some of the flowers are 5" across. In good condition - no cracks or structural chips. The green base glaze has flaked a bit near the bottom. There is uniform and fine glaze crazing, mostly noticed on the cream colored bottom and interior. +++++++++ We seek vintage and collectible items every week at estate auctions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Our goal is to offer an interesting assortment of items at reasonable opening bid prices. Most of what we sell on eBay is vintage, used, breakable, and in less than perfect condition. We do our best to note any defects such as cracks, chips, crazing, staining or scratching, and to pack the items to ensure safe shipment. We do not skimp on packing materials. It is in our best interest to have you be satisfied with your purchase! GENERAL TERMS OF SALE: 1. Payment is expected within seven days of the auction closing. International customers must pay via PayPal. 2. We normally ship orders within 48 hours of receving payment. Our preferred method of shipment is USPS Priority Mail for domestic customers. USPS Priority Mail is required for all International shipments. For very small, non-breakable items we may recommend USPS domestic First Class mail or Media mail. For very large and/or bulky domestic shipments we may recommend alternative carriers. For higher value shipments we may opt to pay for signature confirmation of delivery. We will always work with the winning bidder to ship according to their specifications. 3. If proper packing of an item or items requires an outer carton that exceeds domestic USPS Priority Mail size limits for "Package or Thick Envelope", and thereby triggers a 20lb.surcharge, we reserve the right to substitute Parcel Post as the shipping method. We offer combined shipment for multiple auctions won, reducing overall shipping cost. 4. This auction has a $1.00 handling and packaging materials charge reflected in the total shipping cost. 5. For most breakable items we recommend the winning bidder purchase insurance, and for some auctions we require insurance. While we do an excellent job of packing items (read our feedback), occasionally the USPS will break an item. We will not be responsible for damage to uninsured shipments. 6. For returned items we will refund purchase price and the original shipping costs once the returned item is received and inspected. We will not pay return shipping costs.
