Description
MUSEUM QUALITY NIPPON REDUCED $ 250.00. This is a private listing. Your identity will not be disclosed to anyone except for the seller. You are now looking at the Most Spectacular Nippon Tea Set I have ever offered up for auction. I have sold Fine Porcelains for over 40 Years and I guarantee this set to be very old. THIS IS TRUE MUSEUM QUALITY. This set is valued at $2,200.00 to $2,400.00 Retail. This set will MAKE A REAL STATEMENT and be The Centerpiece of Your Nippon Collection.  I am sure it will be the envy of all who see it. The set consists of a Tea Pot with Lid, Creamer, Covered Sugar and 4 sets of Cups and Saucers. Making a total of 13 pieces. The Moriage is Bright Gold and so are the Beads in the Chrysanthemums and around the edge of each piece. You can observe this in the detail of the cups and sauces. Each Piece is done in GOLD not Brown as it looks in photo's. There are NO Chips, Cracks or Repairs to any of these pieces. There is Minimal Gold Loss to the Handles and Finials. One would expect seeing wear to the Gold since this set is Over 120 Years Old. It just shows it was Lovingly Used. Most of the White Spots are reflections or glare.  There is one cup that has a little more wear to the gold only on the handle. The rest of the white spots are glare. This set is circa 1880. Which means it was made before the McKinley Tariff Act of 1891. Thus it was made before marks were mandatory for import into this country. The Tea Pot measures approximately 8 1/4 inches from spout to handle. And stands approximately 6 inches in height. The Covered Sugar Bowl measures 5 inches in width and approximately 5 1/2 inches in height including the cover. The Creamer measures 5 1/4 inches in width including the spout and handle. And is 3 3/4 inches in height. Each Cup measures 5 inches in width including the handle. And is 2 1/4 inches deep. Each Saucer measures 6 inches in diameter. The detail of this set is just too much to try and describe. The pictures will have to tell the rest of the story. There are 11 photos so please allow them all to download. SHIPPING AND INSURANCE IS FREE WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES.  Please limit shipping to USA, only. Unless other arrangements are made before bidding. Payment to be received in either of two-forms a Money Order or a Cashier's Check, please. I NO LONGER accept personal checks due to past experiences. If you wish to pay with a Credit Card you may do so at PayPal. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO VIEW MY OTHER FINE PORCELAIN ITEMS UP FOR AUCTION.
